This role offers exposure to cutting-edge engineering challenges in a collaborative environment where you'll work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and operations teams to help bring new technologies from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Support mechanical design and development of equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production-related systems
- Create and modify 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Assist with prototyping, testing, and design validation activities
- Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting equipment and identifying process improvements
- Participate in design reviews and engineering projects from concept through implementation
- Assist with documentation, BOM creation, and engineering change management
- Utilize 3D printing and rapid prototyping tools to support product and process development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 0-5 years of engineering experience (internships and co-ops highly valued)
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
- Exposure to manufacturing, product development, or prototyping environments
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to move between design and shop-floor support activities
- Experience with 3D printing, machining, fabrication, or prototype development is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Interest in renewable energy, advanced materials, or emerging technologies preferred
