Job description

What You Will Be Doing

Market and strategy support:
You will contribute to market studies focused on Iberian wholesale power markets, emerging technologies such as renewables, energy storage, PtX, and clean molecules, as well as new business models. Your work will help support corporate strategy and investment decision-making.

Quantitative analysis and modelling:
You will develop and maintain datasets and basic analytical models to evaluate market fundamentals, asset revenues, and commercial performance. This may include analysis of renewable energy assets and flexible resources such as batteries, pumped storage, and demand response.

Transaction support:
You will assist with buy-side and sell-side commercial due diligence for renewable energy, storage, and early-stage low-carbon assets. This will involve assessing key value drivers, risks, and potential routes to market.

Tenders and auctions:
You will support project teams in developing, structuring, and pricing bids for competitive government tenders and auction processes.

Client deliverables:
You will prepare clear and well-organized presentations, memos, and dashboards that convert data and analysis into practical, client-focused recommendations.

Your Skills and Experience

A strong candidate should bring a balanced mix of the following capabilities:

Education:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Experience:
Internship experience or up to one year of professional experience in energy, consulting, finance, data analytics, or a similar field.

Analytical skills:
Strong problem-solving ability and quantitative skills, with good proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or Power BI would be an added advantage.

Interest in energy markets:
A basic understanding of, or strong willingness to learn, the fundamentals of South East European wholesale electricity markets, including market design, regulation, and commercial structures. Knowledge of the Romanian, Hungarian, or Greek energy markets would be a strong plus.

Domain exposure:
Interest in, or initial exposure to, renewable energy and storage valuation, routes to market, and flexible resources such as batteries, pumped storage, and demand-side response.

Communication:
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into concise narratives and client-ready slides.

Ways of working:
Organized, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working within small, collaborative, cross-functional teams.

Language:
Excellent written and spoken English skills.
