The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HP Indigo digital presses and a solid understanding of digital print production processes. This role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HP Indigo presses to ensure the delivery of high-quality printed materials that meet customer specifications. • Quality Control: Inspect printed materials for defects, inconsistencies, or errors and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Job Setup: Prepare print files, load substrates, and adjust press settings for various print jobs.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage ink, substrates, and other consumables to ensure adequate supply for production needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with prepress, production, and quality assurance teams to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, maintenance activities, and press performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining HP Indigo digital presses (Level 2 Indigo certification).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in digital press operation, color management, and troubleshooting.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify and resolve print quality issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Effective troubleshooting skills for resolving technical and mechanical issues.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Direct interactions with Pre-production and finishing will be necessary to meet daily necessities based on volume and individual job urgency.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work additional time when the need arises.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; HP Indigo Level 2 Certification required.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with related software systems and tools, including RIP software and workflow management systems from HP Indigo.
