Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate and optimize standard Assembly production management processes and systems                                                
  • Work directly with production management to ensure standardized efficient and effective shop floor management at all levels
  • Taking responsibility for complex cross-functional product and process problem solving tasks involving Body shop, Paint shop, and Supplier impacts across the Assembly shops
  • Develop, align, and implement solutions to these complex problems

Other Regular Daily Tasks: 

  • Daily attendance and evaluation of Assembly Core Teams and Escalaton Meetings                                                                
  • Drive problem resolution for complex and legacy topics
  • Steering support for shopfloor processes
  • Regular reporting of project and problem solving status and next steps    

Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

 

Education: 

Student in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:   

  • Understanding of Engineering Problem Solving
  • Basic Microsoft Computer Knowledge
  • Understanding of Vehicle Systems and Terminology
  • Focus on Standard Automotive Production System
  • Power Bi

Preferred Start Date:  

  • September 2026

Benefits:

  • Paid internship - hourly rate $18
  • Coverage of visa costs
  • $700 housing bonus

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree
  • Studies outside of the U.S.A (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
  • A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
  • Available for a minimum of 6 months
