Job description


Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator (CC/TT) I is responsible for monitoring electrocardiogram and SPO2 measurements constantly for designated patients and informing the RN of changes.
  • Maintains and checks monitoring equipment daily.
  • Works as a part of the patient care team to maintain organization within the clinical station, answer telephones and patient call lights promptly, assist patients, hospital visitors, and members of the healthcare team.
  • Performs some clerical functions including organizing the clinical station, tracking equipment inventory, as well as monitoring electronic orders.
  • Notifies Charge nurse of new admits and maintains census record.
  • Participates in Swap Shifts to ensure skill competency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent experience as a Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator in an acute healthcare environment preferred.
  • Completion of basic arrhythmia course and successfully passed ECG test required.
  • Completion of a Clerical Coordinator course including medical terminology preferred.
