We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer who thrives on solving complex data challenges and building scalable, enterprise grade solutions. This role is ideal for a detail oriented, analytical professional with deep SQL expertise and experience supporting data warehouses, analytics platforms, and batch processing environments.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

What You'll Do
    Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows across DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server
    Support and enhance enterprise Data Warehouse architectures, including dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT pipelines
    Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts for automation and batch scheduling
    Work with Mainframe datasets and utilities to extract and integrate data
    Build and support datasets and data models for IBM Cognos Analytics reporting
    Partner with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high quality data solutions
    Troubleshoot data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures

What We're Looking For
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
    5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
    Advanced SQL expertise across DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server
    Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts (ETL, dimensional modeling, data marts, OLAP)
    Proficiency with Linux shell scripting (bash, ksh, etc.)
    Experience with Mainframe systems (JCL, datasets, utilities)
    Hands on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics or similar BI tools
    Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaboration skills
    This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. 
    This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related         to the nature of the     job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
