Vantor is currently looking for a cleared UX/UI Designer to join our team. Due to high demand from our various clients, we're in need of a dedicated UX/UI Designer to build a diverse range of applications. You'll collaborate with our amazing software development teams to lead the creation of strong user experiences and interfaces for a variety of client-funded projects. Life with Us Your Project: You will be responsible for setting the strategic design for web-based applications. These applications range from requiring completely new designs born from your research and ideas to subtle refreshes, each one requiring the unique insights of an experienced UX/UI Designer. You will be responsible for shepherding your designs through to completion, from establishing and implementing the research methodologies that drive your decisions to supporting the engineers who implement your designs. Day-to-day with your colleagues: * Meet regularly with clients to develop user empathy, discover pain points, document user workflows, and collect requirements for fundamental features.
* Communicate regularly with software development teams on product roadmaps and provide recommendations on deviations based on user feedback.
* Attend daily stand-ups to stay current on feature progress and help guide the direction of the user interface.
* Facilitate design critiques and participate in all major product meetings, e.g. planning, retrospectives, and interim feature demos. Minimum Requirements: * Must be a U.S. citizen with an active/current TS/SCI clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, e.g. UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, etc.
* 2+ years of UX/UI experience.
* Must present a strong (and preferably diverse) design portfolio!
* Knowledge and applied use of Design Thinking principles.
* Recent experience with Figma/FigJam as well as some of the following technologies: Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, InVision, Procreate. If you also had these skills that'd be amazing: * Experience with Human-Centered Design approaches.
* Web-based product design.
* Experience with Graphic Design/Identity/Logo/Branding.
* Experience mentoring junior staff or interns.

Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. • The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $82,000.00 - $109,000.00 - $119,900.00 annually. • The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $132,000.00 annually. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
