Overview

FYAR is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through music, arts, and workforce development. We have been awarded a Google Ad Grant, providing up to $10,000/month in free Google Search advertising, and are seeking a Google Ad Grants Specialist to maximize this resource, drive qualified traffic, and grow community engagement. This is a great opportunity to apply your digital marketing skills toward real impact for at-risk youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Google Ad Grants campaigns in full compliance with nonprofit program requirements
  • Conduct keyword research to identify high-intent, mission-aligned search terms
  • Write and continuously refine compelling headlines and descriptions optimized for conversion
  • Monitor and improve Quality Scores through landing page alignment and ad relevance
  • Track and report on key metrics, including conversions, traffic quality, and campaign performance
  • Implement A/B testing and ongoing optimization to improve results over time
  • Collaborate with the FYAR team to align messaging with current programs and events
  • Attend virtual check-ins and provide monthly performance reports and recommendations

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong keyword research expertise and understanding of Quality Score factors
  • Ability to interpret search intent and translate it into effective ad copy
  • Experience improving conversion rates and hands-on knowledge of Google Ad Grants compliance requirements (5% CTR minimum, keyword restrictions, geo-targeting, conversion tracking)
  • Proficiency with Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Google Keyword Planner
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate progress clearly

Role Details:

  • This is a volunteer/internship position (unpaid)
  • 3-month minimum commitment
  • Google Ads Search Certification preferred, but not required
  • Remote — work from anywhere
