Summary of Job Duties:
Adjunct faculty will be supervising students in the clinical setting while they complete patient care to satisfy the clinical hour requirements for the School of Nursing Associate of Applied Science degree. The adjunct faculty will also be responsible for grading clinical paperwork and mentoring students in their clinical performance. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
  • BSN Required;
  • Holds a current and unencumbered RN license;
  • 2 Years of Nursing Experience.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:
  • Teaching experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervising students in the clinical setting while they complete patient care to satisfy the clinical hour requirements for the School of Nursing Associate of Applied Science degree;
  • Responsible for grading clinical paperwork;
  • Mentoring students in their clinical performance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Nursing knowledge in the assigned clinical area;
  • Basic nursing skills;
  • Ability to work a 9-12 hour clinical shift and navigate Blackboard LMS and Google Suite.
