Job description

Marketing Internship

Marketing Internship / Digital Growth Contractor

Coolframes LLC

Position Type: Remote 1099 Independent Contractor

Optional Work Location: Contractors are welcome to work from our Richmond, Illinois office if desired.

Coolframes is seeking a creative, organized, and results-driven Marketing Assistant / Digital Growth Contractor to support our existing marketing efforts and help expand our customer reach. This person will work collaboratively with our current marketing partner, McKinley, who will continue to lead and support key marketing initiatives.

The ideal contractor brings hands-on experience with organic SEO, social media, email marketing, customer reviews, and digital customer engagement. We are looking for someone who can execute thoughtfully, suggest fresh ideas, identify gaps in our current approach, and help us build a stronger, more consistent online presence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with McKinley and Coolframes leadership on digital marketing priorities and campaigns.

• Support organic SEO efforts, including keyword research, on-page content recommendations, product/category page optimization, blog or educational-content ideas, and competitor research.

• Help develop and maintain a content calendar for social media, email, text messaging, and website content.

• Assist with organic social-media content, engagement, and growth across platforms including Meta/Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, TikTok, and other relevant channels.

• Create or coordinate marketing content such as social captions, promotional messaging, email campaigns, text-message campaigns, product highlights, and customer-focused educational content.

• Support Klaviyo email and SMS marketing efforts, including campaign ideas, audience segmentation recommendations, automated-flow opportunities, and performance review.

• Develop and manage a customer-review strategy to encourage authentic post-purchase reviews and strengthen Coolframes’ online reputation.

• Evaluate, recommend, and help manage review platforms such as Yotpo, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Trustpilot, and other appropriate customer-feedback tools.

• Help create review-request messaging for email, SMS/text messaging, and post-purchase customer communications.

• Monitor customer reviews and feedback across approved platforms, identify recurring customer concerns or opportunities, and share recommendations with the Coolframes team.

• Support timely, professional responses to customer reviews in coordination with Coolframes leadership.

• Identify ways to responsibly feature customer reviews, testimonials, and user-generated content on the Coolframes website, product pages, email campaigns, social media, and advertising materials.

• Help identify ways to grow customer acquisition, repeat purchases, website traffic, and customer engagement.

• Review current Coolframes marketing efforts and provide practical feedback on missing opportunities, weak points, emerging trends, and recommended next steps.

• Monitor basic marketing performance metrics and provide clear, actionable recommendations based on results.

• Assist with promotions, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and other sales-driving initiatives.

• Coordinate with the Coolframes team as needed to ensure marketing content accurately reflects the company’s products, brand, promotions, and customer experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with digital marketing for e-commerce, retail, fashion, eyewear, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands is preferred.

• Working knowledge of organic SEO and content marketing.

• Experience using Meta platforms, Google Business Profile, TikTok, Klaviyo, and SMS/text-message marketing tools.

• Experience working with customer-review and reputation-management platforms, including Yotpo, Google Business Profile, Facebook Reviews, Trustpilot, or similar tools.

• Understanding of how customer reviews, testimonials, and user-generated content can support e-commerce conversion rates, SEO, customer trust, and repeat business.

• Ability to write clear, engaging, customer-friendly marketing content.

• Strong understanding of social-media trends, online customer behavior, and digital brand growth.

• Comfortable reviewing analytics and translating results into practical recommendations.

• Organized, dependable, self-directed, and able to manage projects remotely.

• Comfortable collaborating with an existing marketing partner and contributing ideas constructively.

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who does more than simply complete assigned tasks. The right contractor will bring ideas, ask good questions, identify opportunities we may be missing, and help us improve how Coolframes reaches and connects with customers.

This role may be a good fit for a marketing professional, SEO specialist, social-media strategist, or digital-growth contractor who enjoys working with small businesses and helping build a consumer-facing e-commerce brand.

Engagement Details

• This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not an employee position.

• Work will primarily be performed remotely.

• The contractor may choose to work from Coolframes’ Richmond, Illinois office when appropriate.

• Hours, scope of work, project priorities, and compensation will be discussed based on experience and the needs of the business.

• The contractor will work in coordination with McKinley and Coolframes leadership while maintaining independent-contractor status.

If you are passionate about e-commerce marketing, organic growth, SEO, and finding creative ways to reach customers, we would like to hear from you.
