Job Description:
As the Apparel Sales Associate for Fairway Styles, you will play a key role in delivering a high-touch, boutique-style shopping experience. Your job is to engage customers in meaningful conversations about both golf and fashion, curate outfit suggestions based on customer preferences, and maintain an expertly merchandised and organized retail environment.
The Apparel Sales Associate at Fairway Styles is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf's values, including the "Sure No Problem" philosophy. This philosophy has made Worldwide Golf what it is today. "Sure No Problem" means putting the customer first, and doing whatever we can to ensure a memorable and positive customer experience.
Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Deliver exceptional, personalized customer service that reflects the luxury positioning of Fairway Styles
  • Act as a brand ambassador for premium golf apparel lines, staying up-to-date on the latest product launches and fashion trends
  • Provide expert styling advice and wardrobe recommendations tailored to individual customer preferences and golf needs
  • Ensure that the Fairway Styles space is always visually appealing, well-stocked, and merchandised to brand standards
  • Process and manage in-person returns of e-commerce orders with professionalism and efficiency
  • Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisitioning merchandise from stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
  • Maintain database and file shipping/receiving records for the department.
  • Partner with the corporate marketing team by supporting in-store promotions, campaigns, and content creation initiatives as needed
  • Build lasting customer relationships to encourage repeat visits and brand loyalty
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of store policies, product features, pricing, and availability
  • Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Ability to spend work time standing or moving about the departments within the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including openness to working weekends.

Qualifications Desired:
  • 1+ years of experience in apparel sales, retail styling, or customer-facing roles is preferred (entry-level candidates will also be considered!)
  • Golf knowledge/background is a plus but not required

The hourly rate for this position is $12.00 - $20.00 per hour plus a commission rate between 1.75% and 6% based on department and product. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
