Posting Summary
The Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a Program Manager for the SPH Global Public Health Program. This individual will support the development, coordination, and implementation of international partnerships, educational programs, research initiatives, and community engagement activities for the school. Working closely with the Associate Dean for Community Engagement, Population Health, and Global Public Health, the role manages global collaborations, study abroad programs, and partnership agreements while ensuring compliance with university policies and risk management requirements. The Program Manager also serves as a liaison for students, faculty, and international partners, coordinates travel and program logistics, supports global learning opportunities, and represents the school in professional and international settings.
Duties include:

• Responsible for supporting and maintaining the ongoing development, implementation, and contributing to the strategic direction of global partnerships, including educational programs, research, service opportunities, and community engagement activities, in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Community Engagement, Population Health, and Global Public Health (ADGPH).
• Partners closely with the ADGPH to maintain, strengthen, and expand relationships with global community partners, ensuring consistent communication, responsiveness, and alignment with School priorities.
• Partners with the ADGPH in coordinating university-wide relationships and collaborates with schools, departments, offices, and programs across Rutgers to assist with the development and execution of school initiatives in those areas.
• Represents the School of Public Health at professional meetings, conferences, and international site visits under the direction of the ADGPH, serving as an ambassador for the school's global and community engagement initiatives.
• Responsible Global Public Health Program staff.
• Supervises the department's fiscal staff. Provides work direction to administrative staff pertaining to fiscal matters.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor's Degree in public health, liberal arts, or a related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in high-level administration, program/project coordination and/or management, student engagement, and international academic partnerships.
• Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement
• Experience developing/managing program of Memoranda of Understatnding/Memoranda of Agreement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead meetings and present information to groups.
• Excellent interpersonal, administrative and computer skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and take initiative.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with Program partners.
• Must appreciate unique characteristics of different cultures and minority groups and respect individual differences.
• Must be a team-player, innovative and a self-starter with motivation to contribute to the overall goals of the school/program/university.
• Demonstrated ability to work with the highest levels of university administration.
• Required must have a valid passport for international travel

This position will be housed in Piscataway, NJ but may require travel to our Newark campus. This position will also be required to travel internationally.
