Job Description
The GIS Student Intern will utilize their current knowledge to collect, manage, and modify data, as well as design maps and other online digital products. The GIS Student Intern will have the opportunity to expand their skill set by working with various ESRI products and software, as well as gain experience with other 3D geospatial software. Projects and tasks will involve ESRI products as well as Microsoft Office applications. The GIS Student Intern will be a champion and leader of our company's core values while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.
Some responsibilities include:
  • Conducting a thorough review and administration of GIS data collection
  • Performing edits on geospatial databases for accuracy and efficiency
  • Extracting and mining data from a diverse range of sources
  • Creating hard copy maps, digital online products, and generating reports as needed
  • Engaging in field data collection using drones and leveraging other 3D spatial point cloud technologies
  • Completing a presentation to management of internship experience

Job Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field at an accredited university
  • Knowledge of ArcPro
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to excel in individual and team environments
  • Authorized to work in the United States
