Description

Land Surveyor in Training

At Widseth, we don't just measure land - we shape the future of infrastructure. From major utility corridors and renewable energy projects to urban development and transportation upgrades, we're at the front lines of progress. Accuracy. Integrity. Innovation. That's how we build - and that's how we survey.

We're looking for a Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) who brings energy, a strong work ethic, and a passion for precision. If you're ready to launch your career alongside a team that's as committed to quality as they are to your growth, this is your next step.

What You'll Do:

Assist in conducting boundary, topographic, construction, and route surveys

Operate GPS, robotic total stations, levels, and data collectors in the field

Support field crews with setups, measurements, and site documentation

Analyze field data and draft survey maps and reports using CAD and GIS tools

Work under the supervision of licensed surveyors to complete diverse surveying projects

Collaborate with engineers, planners, and clients to deliver high-accuracy results

Ensure field safety, equipment care, and data integrity in every environment

Learn. A lot. And grow every step of the way

What You Bring:

Bachelor's degree or associate degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field

Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) certification

Familiarity with surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, levels) and CAD software

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Willingness to work in the field (sometimes in remote or rugged terrain)

A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to take feedback like a champ

Bonus if you've done an internship or co-op-real-world experience always helps!

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
