Implementation specialists use their technical knowledge to install, monitor, and customize clients' systems for patient care infrastructure portfolio after an initial purchase of hardware or software. This role is based in El Paso to preconfigure devices prior to hospital delivery within our monitoring and patient care infrastructure portfolio includes patient monitoring, telemetry, Carescape network, Carescape Gateway, etc.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Work performed is in El Paso, TX.
• Collaborate and partner with Project Manager and Field Engineer to test, validate and preconfigure devices prior to arrival onsite.
• Use technical knowledge to customize clients' solution after an initial purchase of hardware or software.
• Function as co-lead; develop and maintain strong relationships and frequent communications with project managers and field engineers to proactively identify customer needs, ensure resolution, proper follow-up, and ongoing customer satisfaction.
• Mentoring and coaching local FE with accelerated learning thru the Install Cart program.
• Responsible for prompt administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, and technical project plans.
• Manage vendor services as needed.
• Provide instruction to personnel on equipment operation, diagnostics, effective use, and repair.
• Supports engineering new product releases
• Support process improvement and lean initiatives to improve and grow install cart program.
• Expected travel minimum 20%
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 or more years of experience servicing electronic equipment or networking solutions.
  • Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products.
  • The successful applicant must comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test. In addition, during employment, the employee must comply with all customer access policies, including but not limited to obtaining and/or providing proof of required immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks (including a federal government background check if assigned to support a contract with the federal government).

Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in installing and configuring network equipment or patient monitoring
  • 1+ year of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience implementing disaster recovery procedures
  • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems

Special Physical Requirements:
  • Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Candidate must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
