Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cut Fruit Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting fresh cut fruit products for our customers in a grocery store environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our fruit offerings are visually appealing and meet the highest standards of freshness.
Duties:
  • Prepare a variety of fresh fruits by cutting, slicing, and arranging them in an attractive manner for display.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
  • Monitor stock levels of fruit products and assist in inventory management to ensure freshness and availability.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and offering product demos as needed.
  • Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and processing sales through the cash register.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
  • Supervise junior staff or interns if applicable, providing guidance on best practices in fruit preparation.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a grocery store or food service environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus to enhance customer communication.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards in food presentation.
  • Experience with product demos is advantageous but not required.
