Job description

NCDIT-T WEB Systems Team is seeking a Front End Web Designer/Developer that will support the ongoing UX design and front-end development and support needs for enterprise web application and web site solutions developed for NCDOT and NCDMV.
The candidate will need to come on-site on the first day to collect equipment.
All candidates must be local to the Triangle region of North Carolina.
This position may require onsite attendance when business needs warrant inperson participation, such as scheduled meetings or other taskspecific activities.
The NCDIT-Transportation (NCDIT-T) WEB Systems Team is seeking a Front End Web Designer/Developer that will support the ongoing UX design and front-end development and support needs for enterprise web application and web site solutions developed for NCDOT and NCDMV. These solution requests from business users are outpacing capacity and are needed to support business processes like SharePoint reporting, ServiceNow design, SAP design, and Drupal Digital Commons work for NCDOT Ferry automations, and NCDMV requests.
The primary focus is to build and support accessible web UI components and support user experience consistency across enterprise web solutions.
The complexity of these responsibilities are essential to ensure that critical NCDOT and NCDMV web applications remain accessible, consistent, and adequately supported, and without this supplemental staffing, growing UX and frontend demands will outpace capacity, delay key business processes and risking diminished service quality.
Role/Responsibilities:
-Create, update, and refresh web component and user interface prototypes
-Build HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript in accessible ways for content management systems and enterprise products
-Work cross team across NCDIT Transportation to bring user interface consistency
-Perform training sessions/webinars for NCDOT business customers on created apps/sites/tools
