Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience Expected starting salary is $27.14 to $36.25. Full salary is $27.14 to $45.35 Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in management information systems, business administration, mathematics, statistics, or related field. OR Associate's degree from an accredited college in management information systems, business administration, mathematics or related field and two (2) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions

OR A combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions. Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver's license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.

Nature of Work Under general supervision, enters and monitors department operational data. Assists with the development and distribution of a variety of reports. Operates and maintains the scale system.

Ensures the accurate capture of weights and monitors the flow of materials across county facilities. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace. Examples of Work Tracks and reviews accuracy of movement of resource materials across all department facilities.

Develops and distributes a variety of waste material and commodity reports for the Environmental Resources department. Conducts basic data analysis, summarizes data, and identifies trends and patterns. Develops visualizations such as charts, graphs, and tables to display data in various formats.

Assists with reviewing department materials and operational data used for Southeast Minnesota Recycling Exchange (SEMREX) and solid waste reporting requirements. Operates the certified scale to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks. Controls the flow of incoming traffic ensure safe tipping floor and site conditions.

Collects fees for services Enters scale data and maintains the scale system. Assists with reconciling scale data with accounting records. Acts as initial point of contact for customers and answers questions.

Coordinates with customers and facility staff to ensure efficient customer service. Performs general daily housekeeping and light maintenance in and around the scale house and scales Completes other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of scale operations.

Knowledge of solid waste vendors. Knowledge of safety standards in weighing operations and traffic control. Skill in the use of basic business math.

Skill in the use of computers and technology. Skill in collecting and analyzing data. Ability to compile reports.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to organize and prioritize work tasks. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
