Job Description: Flux Core Welder 
 
Job Summary: 
As a Flux Core Welder you will be responsible for a variety of welding tasks to fabricate and assemble metal structures, machinery, and components. Utilizing various welding techniques, you will work with precision and accuracy to ensure the highest quality welds. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to execute welding projects with efficiency. Safety is paramount, and you will strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.   
 
Major Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Perform Flux Core welding technique (FCAW) to weld metal components as per engineering specification. 
  • Fabricate and fit metal structures and machinery with precision and accuracy. 
  • Weld on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and AR plate, selecting and verifying appropriate filler metals, shielding gases, and pre/post-weld procedures for each material. 
  • Perform advanced fit-up and layout on large, multi-member assemblies - structural weldments, tank shells and heads, equipment frames, and custom fabrications - using blueprints as the reference.
  • Read and interpret full engineering blueprints - fabrication drawings, weld symbols, dimensional tolerances, material specifications, bills of material, and general notes - and extract everything needed to complete an assignment. . 
  • Apply working knowledge of weldability, filler-metal requirements, joint preparation, and fume/safety considerations for each material 
 
Essential Skills & Experience 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass 3G FCAW test with open root
  • Demonstrated ability to weld on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and AR plate.  
  • Ability to read and interpret full engineering blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings. 
  • 5+ years of production welding and/or fabrication experience across multiple product types and materials in a custom fabrication environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and practices in welding. 
  • Capable of conducting weld inspections to ensure quality standards are met. 
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with colleagues. 
Shift: Monday-Fri 1:30pm-10:00pm
 Pay: $25-$33/hr depending on experience

Safety & Environmental Factors: 
All employees are expected to adhere to the company’s safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
