Job description

The Cook prepares residents meals according to planned menus that meet the dietary requirements for all residents. He or she ensures the cleanliness, safety, organization, and maintenance of the kitchen so that it is in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and OSHA. Reporting to the Dinning Service Manager, the Cook helps the dietary aide staff and helps order food and supplies, provide proper and safe storage for food, and ensure the maintenance of all kitchen equipment.

The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED with additional preferably in the health care industry. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
