Job description

The Government & Public Services (GPS) Delivery Excellence team is seeking a full-time Quality Manager to support business operations aligned with Quality Management and Quality Program activities. GPS Delivery Excellence is responsible for driving quality and service delivery excellence while minimizing quality issues and financial risks on GPS engagements. Quality Managers collaborate with the Quality Management (QM) team to assist GPS practice leadership in managing the portfolio and optimizing insights and analysis. They utilize mature processes and approaches to report on delivery quality and risk, enabling the GPS business to proactively identify and address issues through mitigative actions.

Quality Manager is responsible for a portfolio of projects, based on Sector and/or Offering Portfolios. They work closely with both OP Delivery Excellence Leaders and Offering Leaders to facilitate quality program project activities; identify delivery quality issues and financial risks; provide insights and analytics, support and co-facilitate GPS portfolio periodic calls and red engagement review calls; and analyze and report on systemic issues. Quality Manager will use information from a variety of Deloitte systems, including project financials, Delivery Excellence Portal (DEP), Jupiter, FOCUS and Profit Erosion data. The candidate will report directly to the GPS Quality Leader and strategic guidance from the Quality Management Leader while interfacing with GPS OP Delivery Excellence Leaders, OP DE PMO Support teams and market facing leadership.  In addition to their portfolio management role, Quality Manager has responsibilities to support the overall QM program, such as program-wide process improvements and strategic initiatives as well as collaboration with GPS and National Delivery Excellence.

Work You'll Do 

  • Provide direct oversight and ownership of a portfolio of projects leveraging our quality management process, approach, tools, and technology to support GPS practice
  • Work closely with overall Quality Management team to understand and analyze portfolio risks, identify early warning indicators and raise issues to Sector/Offering Portfolios (OP) Leaders, Delivery Excellence Leaders, Account Delivery Excellence Leaders, Sector Risk Leaders and/or Risk Managers
  • Facilitate the entry steps into the Quality Program and assignment of Lead Engagement Reviewers (LERs), Support Lead Engagement Reviewers (SLERs) and Delivery Center Reviewers (DCRs)
  • Facilitate as part of entry steps into the Quality Program Offering Portfolio Delivery Excellence Leader (OPDEL) decisioning on Schedule, Milestones, and Deliverables Tracking (SMDT) inclusion with assigned Quality submission path
  • Monitor all engagements within Quality Program aligned to assigned Offering Portfolio/Offering specific to Quality and Financial KPIs to identify and escalate delivery issues and financial risks early for leadership mitigative actions
  • Coordinate leadership debrief calls and touchpoints for projects with red reviews
  • Coordinate Deal Assessment Reviews (DAR) activities as the OP DAR Coordinator for high risk deal inclusion responsible for end-to-end process to include but not limit to, Tracking DARs, Assembling DAR kickoff materials, Working with OP Offering/MO Leaders, OPDEL and Pursuit team to assemble DAR Reviewer and Pursuit Team SMEs, Scheduling DAR calls to include Sector and OP leadership Outbrief at the completion of each DAR
  • Work collaboratively with Sector and OP Quality Managers, Delivery Excellence internal workforce, GPS Sector/Account and OP/Offering leadership teams and Enabling Areas (e.g., EFAs, ETA, etc.) to meet delivery quality operations and priority initiatives
  • Conduct deep data analytics using quality and financial data sources to drive greater insights and trends to improve and/or address delivery quality issues and financial risks
  • Support and suggest ways to continuously improve processes and operations to enhance relationships and impact in support of the business to identify and address quality issues and financial risk impacting client delivery and profit erosion
  • Perform requirements review and testing of internal quality management tools (custom web-based application and Tableau dashboards)
  • Train and/or co-facilitate LER Quality training and other quality system and tool enhancements
  • Work collaboratively with others in support of Delivery Excellence strategic priority initiatives and/or ad hoc activities, as needed
  • Use a variety of AI tools and capability to perform daily Quality Manager duties and data analysis and reporting for assigned OP and/or Sector DE leadership

The team works with clients to improve risk visibility, strengthen governance, and implement practical solutions across business functions. Professionals in this practice collaborate across disciplines to support sustainable, scalable compliance and risk management programs.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with complex technology delivery services
  • Relevant client experience aligned complex technology delivery services within the State, Local & Higher Education Sector
  • 3+ years of client service experience
  • Strong understanding and use of engagement economics and financial reports to conduct data analytics, trends and insights
  • Knowledge and use of internal quality applications and tools (e.g., Jupiter, FOCUS, DEP, LEO DE, SMDT)
  • Extremely proficient with entire MS Office suite in particular Word, Excel and the use of PowerPoint (functionally and graphically) plus MS CoPilot, Power Bi, and AI capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree (Information Systems Management or Computer and Information Systems preferred)
  • Program Management/PMO experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $163,125.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
