The Program

Our Accounting and Finance Internship Program is designed to give college students real-world experience that will be invaluable upon graduation. While in the program, you'll complete a 10-week assignment on a finance or controllership team; you will receive customized training and mentorship as well as personal and professional development. Upon successful completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to join our Finance and Accounting Development Program, a 2-year rotational program for new college graduates.

The Role

As an intern, you will step into our JLL finance and controllership teams to produce best-in-class reporting for management and external stakeholders. Our interns support a variety of projects, such as preparation of our Forms 10-Q and 10-K, technical accounting and peer/industry research, planning and modeling, and decision-oriented analysis.

Each of our interns is assigned to a finance or controllership team for the duration of the program, but there are ample opportunities via our program-wide panel discussions, lunch and learn sessions, etc. to get a glimpse into what other teams and their interns are doing. At the close of the program, all interns will prepare a summary of their contributions to JLL and present this summary to the full 2026 intern cohort, managers, and mentors.

  • Length of program: 10 weeks full-time (40 hours a week)
  • Compensation: $28/hour
  • Location: Chicago, IL | On-site

The Ideal Candidate

  • Pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Real Estate with an expected graduation date of Spring 2028, or Winter 2027
  • Any adjacent major (e.g., Economics) with some experience/coursework in Accounting with an interest in Real Estate
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
  • Ability to multitask, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize to meet project deadlines
  • Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment

Estimated compensation for this position:

10,800.00 - 11,200.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
