Job Title: Producer and Director—Video Production
Location: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Anticipated Start Date: September 2026

Position Summary

GD Resources is seeking an experienced Producer and Director to lead video-production activities for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This position will produce command messages, patient testimonials, educational videos, promotional content, event coverage, social media videos, and stories highlighting medical innovation and military service.

The Producer/Director will manage the full production lifecycle, including concept development, scripting, scheduling, filming, editing, stakeholder coordination, and final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage video projects from initial concept through final review, approval, and delivery.
  • Develop video content calendars, production schedules, scripts, treatments, storyboards, shot lists, and project plans.
  • Coordinate locations, interview subjects, talent, equipment, permissions, and production logistics.
  • Direct and film interviews, events, command messages, patient stories, and other video content.
  • Operate professional cameras, lighting equipment, audio-recording systems, and related production equipment.
  • Perform video editing, color correction, color grading, sound mixing, motion graphics, captioning, and final file preparation.
  • Adapt video products for websites, presentations, social media, digital signage, and other platforms.
  • Collaborate with writers, editors, designers, public affairs personnel, leadership, and subject-matter experts.
  • Manage stakeholder reviews and incorporate feedback while protecting the project’s message and production quality.
  • Maintain video and audio equipment inventories and recommend technology or equipment improvements.
  • Protect HIPAA, PHI, privacy, and sensitive information in all footage and completed products.
  • Maintain organized project files, releases, source footage, approved versions, and archives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, video production, communications, or a related field.
  • At least five years of hands-on professional video-production experience.
  • Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating cinematography, directing, editing, and post-production capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Experience with motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects.
  • Expertise with professional cameras, lenses, lighting, audio recording, and production workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience managing video schedules, logistics, resources, and deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Government facility, CAC, network, and background-investigation access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience producing content in a hospital, healthcare, military, federal, or other regulated environment.
  • Experience conducting sensitive patient or healthcare interviews.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility, captioning, and federal multimedia requirements.
  • Experience with photography, live event coverage, animation, or digital asset management.
