• Deliver Obstetrics services, encompassing both medical and surgical management for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of prenatal and postnatal care.
• Conduct Gynecology evaluations and treatments, including both medical and surgical management, to address a variety of female pelvic conditions.
• Perform examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for a diverse range of OB/GYN patients, spanning from pediatric to geriatric demographics.
• Execute advanced examinations and treatments for patients referred for specialized consultation.
• Assess both functional and dysfunctional issues related to the female pelvis, including masses, pain, urological concerns, abnormal bleeding, hormonal imbalances, and infections.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Conditions of Employment:

• Appointment may require a suitability or fitness assessment based on a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is mandatory.
• This role may necessitate specific initial background checks and periodic re-verification due to interactions with children and youth under eighteen (18) years of age.
• Selected candidates may need to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or provide a recognized exemption.
• This position is classified as a Testing Designated Position, subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Candidates will need to agree to participate in random drug urinalysis.
• A pre-placement medical examination may be required.
• Immunization screening could be necessary, with Hepatitis B vaccination required for all roles involving direct patient contact. Proof of other immunizations may also be needed based on the position.
• Maintaining current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association may be required. Advanced certifications (e.g., ALS) do not replace BLS.
• Candidates must meet credentialing requirements and secure appropriate clinical privileges.
• This role may involve on-call duties during irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
• Moderate to heavy lifting, up to 25 pounds, may be necessary.
• Tuberculosis testing may be required for this position.

Degree: A Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from an accredited institution in the United States or Canada. This degree must be recognized by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association, the Association of American Medical Colleges, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation, or another accrediting body acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Education at the time of attainment. For degrees obtained from foreign medical schools, education and medical knowledge must be equivalent to accredited U.S. institutions, demonstrated by permanent certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the U.S. and graduate education abroad, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.

Licensure: Candidates must hold a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.

Graduate Training: Following the attainment of a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, candidates must have at least one year of supervised experience providing direct clinical service, such as a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an accredited hospital or institution.

Residency Training: Applicants must have successfully completed accredited residency training in the relevant specialty (Obstetrics and Gynecology) and possess equivalent experience and training totaling at least four years. Experience cannot substitute for the required residency training for the specified specialty.
