Job description

Fashion Internship

BGPR is excited to announce we are now taking applications for our Summer Internship Program. We are looking for college students who are interested in learning about all aspects of Fashion Public Relations. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the PR world, gain hands-on experience, and learn how campaigns come together from start to finish.

Our internship program offers comprehensive training and practical instruction, allowing students to apply their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.

As a Public Relations Intern, you’ll join our team and collaborate with industry professionals on a variety of ongoing campaigns and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple facets of the company, including celebrity and influencer placements, media outreach, showroom merchandising, stylist support, event planning and photo shoot production.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Creating Media Contact Lists

• Research and outreach to fashion influencers

• Research trends in fashion and learn how to use the information to help clients

• Maintaining a database of media contacts, stylists, editors, etc.

• Draft press materials including media kits and press releases

• Learn how to merchandise the showroom for stylists and influencer visits

• Opportunity to assist with fashion stylists and influencers

• Searching media outlets – print, web, etc. for celebrity placements

• Drafting media pitches on celebrity placements

• Gifting celebrities, stylists, and editors

• Attend client meetings and video calls

• Assist in client photoshoots: Gain expertise in selecting models, styling attire, and coordinating photo sessions

We are looking for candidates who:

• Are proactive and willing to be hands-on

• Can multi-task and work both independently and within a team

• Are reliable, detail-oriented, and highly motivated

Additional Information:

• This is an unpaid internship. We offer academic credit to students.

• The interview process will be conducted remotely via video call.

• Prior experience in fashion and/or PR is a plus, but not a requirement.

• BGPR will ensure the internship aligns with the academic program and schedule.

To comply with California internship guidelines:

• Intern and BGPR mutually understand there is no expectation of compensation or employment.

• The internship provides training similar to that of an educational environment.

• The internship is tied to the intern’s formal education through academic credit or coursework.

• The schedule accommodates academic calendars and commitments.

• The internship is limited to the period in which the intern receives educational benefit.

• Interns do not replace paid staff and work under close supervision.

• The internship is primarily for the benefit of the intern, not the company.
