Network / System Engineer II
Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior F5 Load Balancer Engineer to support complex, large-scale initiatives within a financial services environment. This role requires expertise in F5 Networks and VMware AVI, along with a background in enterprise networking, application infrastructure, and security. The engineer will design, implement, and support load-balancing solutions while partnering with various internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and provide Level 3 support for load-balancing solutions.
  • Deliver high-level and low-level design documentation for infrastructure and related changes.
  • Partner with application teams, network engineers, and lines of business to translate technical requirements.
  • Implement solutions or provide clear guidance and documentation to implementation teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive design and operational documentation.
  • Support capacity planning, performance monitoring, and platform lifecycle activities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to resolve issues, defects, and enhancement requests.
  • Support feature enhancements and code certification for load balancing platforms.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with network automation, scripting, and programming in enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in load balancing technologies, including F5 Networks and VMware AVI.
  • Foundation in network engineering, architecture, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of network and application security, including application flows and network dependencies.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and Java.
