Surgery Center Registered Nurse (RN) Pre Post Pain

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team! Our nursing staff are dedicated professionals that provide high-quality, compassionate care to our surgical and procedural patients. As a Registered Nurse in our surgery centers, you will work in the pre-operative area and recovery room to provide expert professional nursing care for our patients during the pre- and post-operative course. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGISTERED NURSE PRE-POST/ PAIN

Working in our surgery centers gives you many opportunities to interact with and care for surgical and procedural patients. The primary responsibility of the nurse is to care for the patient during the pre-operative, intraoperative and post- operative phases. This includes preparing the patient for the procedure, monitoring the patient, and administering sedation when indicated, assisting the physician during the procedure, and discharging the patient when criteria are met.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REGISTERED NURSE PRE-POST/ PAIN

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse licensure or the ability to apply
  • Ability to communicate effectively and have an ability to work compatibly with all physicians and staff
  • Ability to make quick assessments of patients and be able to handle emergency situations appropriately
  • CPR, PALS, and ACLS certification

WORK SCHEDULE

This position requires working Monday through Friday during hours that patients are in the surgery center. Hours vary depending on the surgery schedule but are typically between 0500-1700.
