Job description

Job Description: Our client is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Internal Medicine Specialist Veterinarian to join a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital in Los Angeles, California. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an internist who enjoys advanced case management, collaborative specialty medicine, teaching, and working within a well-equipped hospital environment.

The role offers the chance to work alongside specialists across surgery, cardiology, radiology, oncology, emergency, and critical care, with support from a talented clinical team and a strong teaching environment. With a rotating internship program, specialty interns, extern students, and a broad referral caseload, this position provides an excellent platform for a specialist who values clinical excellence, mentorship, and continued professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Managing advanced internal medicine cases within a busy specialty and emergency hospital
  • Collaborating with specialists, emergency clinicians, interns, and support teams on complex cases
  • Supporting diagnostic workups, treatment planning, case progression, and client communication
  • Contributing to the teaching and mentorship of interns, externs, and clinical colleagues
  • Building strong relationships with clients, referring veterinarians, and hospital teams
Qualifications Needed
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Board certification or residency training in Internal Medicine
  • Licensure in good standing, or eligibility to obtain licensure in California
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and client relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to high standards of medicine, ethics, teaching, and patient care
Package
  • Full-time Internal Medicine Specialist position
  • Annual salary from $225,000 to $325,000, based on experience and credentials
