Role: Project Manager – Tacton CPQ

Location: Old Saybrook, CT / Sutherlin, OR – Onsite

Job Type: Contract


Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong Tacton CPQ experience to lead and manage CPQ implementation, enhancement, and integration projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) processes and experience working with business and technical teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Tacton CPQ implementation and enhancement projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand CPQ requirements and business processes.
  • Coordinate with Tacton CPQ developers, solution architects, business analysts, QA, and integration teams.
  • Manage Tacton CPQ configuration, customization, integrations, and deployment activities.
  • Coordinate integrations between Tacton CPQ and systems such as CRM, ERP, Salesforce, SAP, or other enterprise applications.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable project tasks and technical deliverables.
  • Conduct project planning, status meetings, sprint planning, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Track project milestones, dependencies, issues, risks, and change requests.
  • Work with Agile/Scrum teams and manage project deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and progress to senior management and clients.
  • Coordinate UAT, testing, defect resolution, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed scope and budget.
  • Manage vendor/client communication and coordinate geographically distributed teams.

Required Skills

  • Strong Project Management experience.
  • Hands-on/project delivery experience with Tacton CPQ.
  • Strong understanding of CPQ processes, including product configuration, pricing, quoting, and proposal generation.
  • Experience managing Tacton CPQ implementation or integration projects.
  • Experience working with CRM/ERP integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with both technical and business teams.

Preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, SAP, Salesforce, CRM, or ERP systems.
  • Experience managing enterprise-level CPQ transformation projects.
  • Tacton CPQ certification or relevant Tacton experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing multiple teams and offshore/onshore resources.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, UAT, release management, and production deployment.
