Job Description

This internship will primarily focus on conducting the set-up and execution of laboratory experiments such as protein expression, purification, characterization, and enzymatic assays. There will be an emphasis on cell free protein expression for enzyme engineering campaigns leveraging AI/ML.

The successful candidate will be assisting researchers working on high throughput enzyme engineering campaigns to enable the production of renewable biofuels and biochemicals.

These tasks require effective communication with mentors and other laboratory members about the expected work, progress toward completing that work, and any issues that arise. This internship will involve extensive time in a laboratory environment, and it is essential for the selected candidate to support a safe and efficient work environment.

Basic QualificationsMinimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Undergraduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution.
Post Undergraduate: Earned a bachelor's degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.
Graduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a master's degree program from an accredited institution.
Post Graduate: Earned a master's degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.
Graduate + PhD: Completed master's degree and enrolled as PhD student from an accredited institution.
