Job Description Summary

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management supports the Risk Chief of Staff by working directly with the CRO and senior Risk leadership team to ensure effective planning, execution, communication, and coordination of Risk priorities across the organization. This role focuses on facilitating clear and consistent Risk communications, coordinating delivery of key Risk work products, supporting crossfunctional working teams, and ensuring Risk priorities are clearly defined, tracked, and executed.
This person acts as a central point of coordination for leadership materials, highest level governance forums and boards, and enterpriselevel Risk initiatives. Knowledge of Risk framework (policies, processes, systems of governance) is leveraged to ensure consistency across the Risk function and to communicate messages outside of Risk in a relatable way. Emphasizes organization, execution discipline, and communication effectiveness rather than direct ownership of risk assessments or technical risk models. High expectations for execution rigor and communication quality.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Risk Management on certain business related activities, cross-functional meetings, committees, etc.
  • Oversee the development of quantitative/analytical models and applications.
  • Utilize team personnel resources through strategic planning and scheduling of engagements.
  • Develop analysis of data through the use of models and determine impact operational and risk based capital.
  • Support associates and lead in the execution of risk activities. Serve as a subject matter expert on risk principles throughout Transamerica and Aegon.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior level personnel across all of Transamerica and Group NV. Conduct regular business and risk discussions. Participate in risk committee discussions.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on specific discipline within Risk Management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (accounting, finance, IT, risk management, actuarial, mathematics, computer science, etc.) appropriate for the risk area/department above or equivalent experience.
  • Ten years of related risk management experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Sound judgment and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to present and interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting senior leaders or leadership teams (e.g., chief of staff, strategy, PMO, or executive coordination roles).
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, crossfunctional initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Risk management concepts and governance structures, with ability to rapidly understand and synthesize technical material.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and executiontracking skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and work effectively across teams.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment when handling sensitive information.

Compensation

  • The Salary for this position generally ranges between$146,000 - $180,000 annually.Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors includingqualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
  • Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.
