Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a 1st Shift Forklift Operator where you will operate sit down gas forklifts, and have the opportunity to work with skid steers and balers. Your role will involve stacking and moving recycling material and garbage, as well as transporting materials throughout the facility. You'll also perform general preventative maintenance on forklift equipment and contribute to various tasks as needed. This role requires working both indoors and outdoors, in an environment that can be dirty, hot, and loud.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sit down forklifts to move recycling materials and garbage.
  • Transport materials throughout the facility and empty full containers.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance on forklift equipment.
  • Assist with various tasks as needed within the facility.

Essential Skills

  • 2-5 years of forklift operating experience.
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting (50lbs+).
  • Experience in material handling and operating heavy equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of small equipment operating experience.
  • Familiarity with skid steer, loader, and pallet jack operations.
