Job description

Xpedient is a full-service third-party logistics (3PL) provider supporting a diverse client base across warehousing, transportation management, supply chain solutions, order fulfillment, and labor services.

8:00am to 4:30pm
Summary
Xpedient Logistics is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Tire Freight Handler / Forklift Operator to support warehouse and tire distribution operations. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, handling, staging, and moving tires throughout the facility using both manual material-handling methods and powered industrial equipment.
A key responsibility of this position is manually lacing and stacking tires inside trailers to maximize trailer capacity and ensure loads are secure for transportation. This is a physically demanding position that requires the ability to consistently lift and handle tires weighing up to 100 pounds throughout the shift.
The ideal candidate has previous warehouse or freight-handling experience and is comfortable operating equipment such as sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Load and unload tires from trailers, containers, and other transportation equipment.
  • Manually lace, stack, and arrange tires inside trailers according to established loading procedures to maximize available trailer space and maintain load stability.
  • Consistently lift, carry, roll, stack, and position tires weighing up to 100 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, safely and efficiently.
  • Transport tires and other materials between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas.
  • Stage inbound and outbound product according to operational requirements.
  • Verify products and quantities during loading, unloading, and staging activities.
  • Follow established loading, unloading, and product-handling procedures.
  • Inspect powered industrial equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
  • Communicate product discrepancies, damaged materials, safety concerns, and operational issues to leadership.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as operational needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety:
  • Adhere to all OSHA and MSDS standards and company safety policies
  • Follow proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, or hazards promptly
  • Support and promote a culture of safety and accountability on-site
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with warehouse safety procedures and inspections
Minimum Qualifications and Physical Demands
  • Previous warehouse, freight-handling, tire-handling, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Previous experience operating a sit-down and/or stand-up forklift preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete Xpedient's required powered industrial equipment training and authorization process.
  • Experience loading or lacing tires inside trailers is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to safety, product accuracy, and proper material-handling procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Consistently lift and handle tires weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequently lift, carry, roll, push, pull, stack, and position tires.
  • Perform repetitive material-handling activities for extended periods.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, and climb as necessary to perform assigned duties.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Enter and work inside trailers while manually loading and lacing tires.
  • Safely mount, dismount, and operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Perform essential job duties in a warehouse environment that may experience varying temperatures and noise levels.
