Material Handler

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Material Handler in Orlando, FL for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Material Handler will support plant and warehouse operations by loading, unloading, moving, and conveying materials throughout the work site. This role is responsible for shipping and receiving activities, material handling, inventory movement, and supporting production personnel by ensuring materials are delivered where needed to maintain operations.

Required Skills

  • Experience loading, unloading, and conveying materials within a plant, warehouse, yard, or work site.
  • Experience supporting shipping and/or receiving operations.
  • Ability to open containers using hand tools.
  • Ability to count, weigh, and accurately record material information.
  • Experience loading and unloading materials by hand onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, machines, and trucks.
  • Ability to safely move materials using material handling equipment such as forklifts, electric dollies, hand trucks, wheelbarrows, elevators, or similar equipment.
  • Ability to stack, assemble, and organize materials.
  • Ability to assist machine operators by lifting heavy objects manually or using power hoists.
  • Ability to follow specific directions and work safely in a production environment.
