Summary
A Forklift Driver / Material Handler is responsible for operating material handling equipment (forklift) to receive, store, and distribute material, parts, and supplies, using wireless RF scanning equipment to direct the disposition of materials.
Essential Functions

Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklift) to maneuver racks, containers, pallets, and crates.
Move, locate, relocate, load, unload, and stack material in assigned areas.
Perform routine daily equipment inspections and escalate issues.
Collect finished orders for movement to the outbound shipping area.
Ensure the product is labeled and free of damage, overages, and shortages.
Accurately complete all related paperwork.
Uphold quality and customer service standards set forth by the company.
Observe and comply with all safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure that materials loaded to be transported are properly stacked and secure.
Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.
Participate in TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives.

The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures, and safety vests are required as personal protective equipment (PPE).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required. Regular and reliable attendance at work is expected.
Travel
No travel is required between locations.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
OSHA-endorsed forklift certification or ability to become certified
