Job description

The Information Security and Risk (ISR) Intern will work for the ISR heads in the Americas region supporting a variety of functions, including Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, and Third-Party Risk Management. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, preparing for a career in cybersecurity, demonstrate good communication skills, and be attracted to challenging opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

        Work with multiple ISR teams to support the SG Americas cybersecurity program

        Support data protection and vulnerability management initiatives and remediation activities

        Engage with stakeholders in IT and Risk departments to ensure cybersecurity controls are implemented and properly monitored

        Produce and publish metrics and reports for key stakeholders (e.g., CISO, CIO, CTO, COO)

        Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities to improve existing processes

TECHNICAL SKILLS

        Understanding of HTTP, web programming, scripting and relational databases

        Basic understanding of cybersecurity and operational risk standards, frameworks and best practices (e.g. NIST CSF, OWASP, ITIL, CoBIT, etc)

        Practical experience utilizing AI tools and LLM's is highly valued

COMPETENCIES

  • Good analytical and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to do independent research and summarize findings

        Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are essential

        Experience with MS Office tools (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint, Word, PowerBI)

        Excellent collaboration skills

EDUCATION

        Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or relevant technical field with some exposure to cybersecurity

        Fundamental understanding of communications technologies: email, FTP, Web

        Cybersecurity, Risk, or IT certifications a plus
