Job Summary
We are currently searching for an Intern for the o perform tasks and assignments to support Systems Engineering in design, development, testing and documentation of our maritime electronic systems to include sonobuoys within the engineering disciplines, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Software and Acoustics.
Learning Outcomes:
  • Use requirement traceability tools
  • Derive and link test cases and test plans

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Support Systems Engineers in a variety of tasks and assignments to include requirements management, test management, documentation and reporting
  • Tasks include preparing stakeholder/customer requirement documents to be imported into the requirements management tool. Reviewing requirement allocations, reporting gaps and providing traceability to implementation requirements
  • Facilitate test activities to assist with conducting testing, documenting results and create traceability reports
  • Participate in review process and coordinate activities to conduct requirements reviews, peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents
  • Support preparation of system engineering contract deliverable documentation

Secondary Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Support Project Management and Assist with tracking and status of Bill of Materials (BOMS) in buildup of prototypes for testing, verification and validation
  • Facilitate documenting and development of process training materials
  • Participate in and learn during training and one on one session and receive mentorship from project managers and engineers to gain new skills
  • Other assignments may be added /adjusted as applicable

Requirements:
Sparton interns must meet the following criteria:
  • Active pursuit of a Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress or recent graduates within one year of successfully completing a bachelor’s or master’s program. Must be verified as part of the background check process.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work on-site in De Leon Springs, FL
Supervisor/Mentor: Senior Systems Engineer
