• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations to identify normal and abnormal dermatological findings.
• Order, interpret, and follow-up on laboratory and diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans that include both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical options, adjusting these plans based on patient response.
• Continuously monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and make necessary adjustments to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients about their dermatological conditions and provide clear guidance on treatment options.
• Perform essential procedures as your training and privileges allow, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize overall patient care.
• Assist in meeting payer performance measures to ensure the delivery of quality services.

As a Dermatology Physician Assistant, you will engage with a varied patient demographic, from children to elderly individuals, each presenting unique dermatological challenges. Your role will be critical in diagnosing and treating conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and skin cancers. You will also play a key part in preventive patient care by providing education on sun protection and skin maintenance.

• A diploma from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant valid in the state of Nevada with current CPR certification.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical care setting, preferably with a focus on dermatology.
• Proficient in using standard office equipment, including electronic systems and EMR software.

• Experience in an outpatient dermatology setting is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with the latest dermatological practices and treatments.
• Ability to mentor junior staff or clinical interns is a plus.
