Company Overview:

Altheda Medical Center is a fast-growing healthcare organization focused on delivering high-quality care while optimizing operational efficiency and innovation. Steel City South Pediatrics, a part of the Altheda Medical Center network, specializes in pediatric primary care. Together, the organizations offer a variety of services, including family medicine, pediatrics, mental/behavioral health, wellness, and aesthetics. This integration creates opportunities for internal synergy and operational improvements between both centers.
As part of our continued growth, we are offering an exciting opportunity for driven and talented business students to gain real-world experience solving healthcare business challenges.
Position Overview:

Are you interested in applying business strategy, operations, and data analysis to healthcare? At Altheda Medical Center, we are looking for Business Analyst Interns who can help us tackle real-world operational challenges and contribute to business development and patient care delivery strategies.
This internship offers exposure to multiple areas, including healthcare administration, finance, marketing, and business development. Interns will collaborate directly with leadership, working on diverse projects that impact both Altheda Medical Center and Steel City South Pediatrics.
What You’ll Do:

  • Business Strategy & Problem Solving: Participate in monthly projects addressing key issues like operational flow, patient capacity, marketing, and community outreach.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct research and data analysis to assess internal performance and identify opportunities for improvement in business operations.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Work closely with the leadership team to develop actionable recommendations and assist in the implementation of solutions that enhance the center's operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Exposure: Gain hands-on experience across healthcare administration, marketing, finance, sales, and patient care, contributing to the success of both facilities.
  • Leadership Engagement: Present your findings and proposed strategies directly to leadership and gain valuable feedback.
Internship Structure:

  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team of 3-4 interns, collaborating on diverse business and operational challenges each month.
  • Leadership Development: As you gain experience, take on more responsibilities, with opportunities for leading projects and guiding team discussions.
  • Monthly Focus Areas: Each month focuses on a specific operational or business development topic, which may shift based on organizational needs.
Why This Internship?

  • Real-World Consulting Experience: Develop practical business analysis skills while solving healthcare-related business and operational challenges.
  • Diverse Learning Opportunities: Gain exposure to healthcare operations, business development, marketing, finance, and patient services.
  • Leadership Skills: Work alongside senior leadership, building your professional skill set with mentorship opportunities.
  • Flexible Work Environment: Manage a part-time schedule around your studies while making a tangible difference in healthcare management.
What We’re Looking For:

  • Business students with an interest in management consulting, business strategy, healthcare administration, marketing, finance, or operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starters who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A passion for healthcare and learning how business principles apply to healthcare settings.
  • Previous experience in consulting, project management, or healthcare is a plus but not required.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare business operations while working with a team dedicated to making an impact on healthcare delivery.
