Job description

Santa Monica is looking for a Route Delivery Driver (Class D)!

The right driver will have the ability to stay calm under pressure, solve problems at the moment, have excellent communication skills, and be punctual and reliable.

We are looking for a Delivery driver for immediate hire who can start right away.  Driver must want to be part of a team and be interested in the success of the company.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The driver will operate a Class D - Refrigerated Bobtail Truck.
  • The delivery driver will have pre-assigned routes and endure timely delivery of our products to our customers, in a professional and customer service-oriented manner.
  • The delivery driver will perform routine daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is road safe and reports any mechanical defects condition to the Lead Driver/Supervisor
  • The driver will ensure that manifests are completed and accurate
  • The driver will load the truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unloaded merchandise for the customer.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Provides assistance to resolve customer issues.
  • Ensures timely delivery of the product to our customers
  • Food delivery experience preferred, but not required 
  • Training provided
  • Equipment and new uniforms are provided
  • Knowledge of the Phoenix area
  • Must submit a copy of your most recent DMV report (3 years) to be considered

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Good customer service skills
  • Strong organization skills & communication skills
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Valid Driver's License & valid medical card
  • Clean DMV Record
  • Hours: Early AM start /  Must be willing to work Monday-Saturday
  • Must have 2 years of experience delivery driving / Bobtail truck 26' footer or shorter
  • Pay Rate $19.00-$20.00
