Reliability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential soft skills that help drivers perform safely and efficiently. These competencies ensure the safe transport of goods, compliance with regulations, and positive interactions with supervisors and clients.

What is an Internship Driver CDL Permit?

An Internship Driver CDL Permit allows individuals who are training to become commercial drivers to operate commercial vehicles under supervision while they work towards earning their full Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). This permit is typically issued after passing a written knowledge test and is required before you can begin hands-on driving training. The internship aspect means that the permit holder is gaining practical experience, often through a formal internship program with a transportation company. This helps new drivers meet the required number of training hours and learn under the guidance of experienced mentors. The CDL permit is a critical step in pursuing a career as a professional truck or bus driver.
