Our thin films team works on groundbreaking DRAM scaling, partnering across R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers to enable future nodes. We operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where fundamentals and execution get results!
This role focuses on developing and integrating thin film deposition processes for next-generation DRAM. You will take ownership from early concept through high-volume manufacturing, with emphasis on EUV patterning films. The position offers strong technical depth, multi-functional collaboration, and direct impact on future memory technology.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize thin film deposition processes for advanced DRAM
  • Perform process characterization, solving issues, and defect reduction
  • Drive thin film roadmap activities aligned to future technology nodes
  • Collaborate with teams and suppliers to mature tools and materials
  • Analyze physical and electrical data to guide process decisions

Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD or MS or equivalent experience with 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience in a related field
  • Strong foundation in process science including thermodynamics or transport phenomena
  • Experience designing and analyzing experiments using DOE
  • Ability to work independently and across multi-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing thin films for EUV patterning applications
  • Background with surface analysis techniques such as XPS, AFM, XRD, or SIMS
  • Experience with ALD, CVD, PECVD, or related deposition processes
  • Knowledge of SPC and process maturity for manufacturing
  • Experience Bringing to bear Artificial Intelligence for data analysis or process development

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$107,000.00 - $182,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
