What you will do
The Senior Process Improver is responsible for monitoring, analyzing data of business and quality trends to identify improvement opportunities for processes and systems. Lead/Work with champions and with the Make Excellence Continuous Improvement Manager, chartering and scoping high impact process, Process Excellence (PE) Six Sigma, and Lean projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads and guides cross functional, multilevel diverse technical teams, to assure projects are implemented using PE/Lean tools.
  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of Six Sigma/DMAI2C/Lean principles and Risk Management practices in broad areas of assignments.
  • Provides training and mentoring on tools for process evaluation and enhancement (Lean/Six Sigma, FMEA).
  • Able to generate business cases, justify opportunities and present them to different levels of the organization.
  • Acts as a change agent across functions.
  • Understands business impact of his/her technical actions. Follows and observes all regulatory requirements (GMP's, ISO, FDA, internal policies) applicable to area of responsibility.
  • Lead or supports very complex and high impact PE Six Sigma and LEAN Projects
  • Monitor and review critical to quality and business measures and present them to the plant staff team.
  • Work with champions and with the Make Excellence Continuous Improvement Manager, chartering and scooping high impact projects.
  • Review PE Projects to assure the appropriate use of tools.
  • Provide resource requirements, prioritization, and project recommendations.
  • Reviews, analyze data of quality and business trends to identify improvement opportunities for processes and systems.
  • Communicate project status updates to all stakeholders, including executive management, as needed.
  • Dispose adequately recycling materials following the environmental, health and safety procedures to avoid increase in non-hazardous waste generation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science and/or Engineering.
  • At least 6 to eight 8 years of experience within the following areas: process engineering, project management, process validation, manufacturing, process excellence and/or quality.
  • Experience leading process excellence and/or lean manufacturing projects.
  • Experience working with solid dosage manufacturing under a regulated environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish-oral and written).
  • Knowledgeable in GMP, OSHA and other pharmaceutical industry applicable regulations.
  • Project Management negotiation, influencing and presentation skills. Should have basic knowledge in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Knowledge in Minitab and a Project Management software is required.
  • Process Excellence or Lean Green Belt certification required, or Black Belt certifications will be highly desirable.
  • Able to travel in and outside of Puerto Rico. Able to work extra hours and to respond to emergency calls that require returning to the company after regular working hours of the business.
  • Able to support other departments or projects according to business needs.

What's in it for you
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:
$90,950.00 - $128,400.00
This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
