You will work on moderately complex features and software components, executing assigned tasks independently with guidance as needed, and applying established engineering best practices.Our team operates a modern cloud service for preparing and testing ML models for Qualcomm hardware. We deploy to AWS with Kubernetes, a Python-based backend, and a React/TypeScript web frontend. You will work closely on the Cloud Services team that owns the frontend and backend, actively participate in design/UX review, code reviews, and technical design discussions.Your primary focus will be the frontend web interface, although you will be expected to have working knowledge of and contribute to the backend. You will receive technical direction from senior engineers while being expected to manage your own priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and consistently meet quality and delivery expectations as part of a fast‑moving, collaborative team.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.ORMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.ORPhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services under guidance from senior team membersImplement features and enhancements on existing systems using React/TypeScript frontends and Python backend servicesBe an active participant in UX and design reviewsTranslate wireframe designs into polished user experiences.Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code following established standards, including unit tests and integration testsBuild and consume RESTful APIsDebug issues, analyze root causes, and propose fixes for moderately complex problemsCollaborate effectively with teammates and cross‑functional partnersContribute to code reviews by providing thoughtful, constructive feedbackDocument design decisions, code changes, and operational considerationsMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Preferred Qualifications6+ years of academic or industry software development experienceExperience working on real codebases beyond coursework, internships, or prototypesTechnical SkillsExperience with modern React ecosystem: React Router v7, TanStack Query, TailwindExperience with UX concepts, applying user-centered design principles to product development, and collaborating with designers.Familiarity with Figma is an assetWorking knowledge of object‑oriented programming and design conceptsProficiency in TypeScript, with experience using React and modern frontend tooling (e.g., Vite, React Router)Backend development experience using PythonExposure to web frameworks such as Django is an assetUnderstanding of relational databasesBasic experience or exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines)Awareness of cloud platforms, particularly AWSQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
