Clarity Partners is seeking a Solution Engineer (Salesforce) local to Chicago, IL. This role is ideal for an early-career software developer who is eager to build a career on the Salesforce platform. You will work alongside experienced architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and support Salesforce solutions that meet evolving business needs. This role will report in a hybrid setting.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Salesforce applications under the guidance of senior developers and solution architects.
  • Learn and apply Salesforce development best practices using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Assist with building integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST APIs and other integration methods.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established development standards.
  • Support testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with developers, administrators, business analysts, and project teams to deliver high-quality client solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and best practices.
  • Document technical solutions, processes, and implementation details for team and client reference.
  • Stay current on Salesforce technologies and participate in ongoing technical training and certification opportunities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1-2+ years of hands-on software development experience through full-time employment, internships, co-ops, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience developing applications using an object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, APIs, debugging, version control (Git), and software development best practices.
  • Experience working with REST APIs or web services.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn Salesforce development and build a career on the Salesforce platform.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a client-focused consulting environment.
  • Salesforce development experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, Agile development methodologies, or cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Prior consulting or client-facing experience is a plus.

The range represents a good faith estimate that Clarity reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of posting.
