Job description

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director level, supporting Third Party Due Diligence within the Global Third-Party Program Management team. This position plays an integral role in strengthening the Firm's ability to assess potential operational disruption and oversee overseeing resilience standards and risk mitigation across external vendors.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with Technology, Business Units, and Suppliers to evaluate suppliers' implementation of controls and policies as detailed in questionnaire responses and provided evidence provided
- Drive and support change management and further enhancement and streamlining of the assessment process
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to the due diligence assessment program
- Serve as a subject matter expert by interpreting risk and control issues and providing guidance on related observations
- Present findings to management and governance bodies, including preparing clear and concise responses to compliance and regulatory requests
- Escalate and manage proactive stakeholder engagement
- Review and update key process documentation such as Policies, Procedures, Desktop Guidance and instructional and guidance materials
- Support and enable the team to achieve success in their pursuit of personal and program level objectives
What you'll bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in: Business Administration, Risk Management, or Business Continuity/Resilience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Business Continuity and / or risk and control assessments in the financial services industry
- Professional qualifications from industry standard institutions such as ISACA is a plus
- Exceptional Project Management skills and execution mindset
- Experience in and strong understanding of relevant Industry Standards (NIST, CCM, CRI etc.)
- Knowledge of best practices and certifications (e.g. CRI, ISO certifications, SSAE/SOC reports etc.)
- Experience in managing / leading high performing Third Party Risk Assessment teams
- Financial industry experience especially focused on Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Controls and risk methodologies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and foster a culture of accountability excellence
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and manage global stakeholders
- Dynamic individual with the ability to switch context quickly and work on multiple streams of work simultaneously with high attention to detail

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130,000 and $182,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
