Job description

Americaneagle.com is a family-owned web design, development, and digital marketing agency with a passionate belief in the power of technology to positively transform business practices. Our focus is on helping customers grow and achieve success in the digital space.
We cover a variety of different industries, including eCommerce, associations & nonprofits, government, healthcare, sports & entertainment, transportation, and more.
The company was recently named by Built In Chicago as one of the best places to work and to Inc.com's list of 5000 fastest-growing private companies for the past eight years.
Americaneagle.com is looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Designer to help lead creative for our growing digital marketing client roster. You'll design across paid, organic, and email channels-bringing existing brand systems to life in ways that are visually sharp, on-strategy, and built to perform. This role works closely with digital marketers, copywriters, and fellow designers, and is a strong fit for someone who thinks as much about audience and outcomes as they do about layout.
You won't be trafficking ads on ad platforms, writing copy, or building analytics reports-but you will use performance insights from our marketing team to sharpen your creative decisions and explain the thinking behind your work.
You'll report to the Digital Marketing Design Lead and work alongside three other Digital Marketing Designers. The Digital Marketing Design team is part of our larger Experience Design team of 15 designers, led by our Creative Director. As a Senior Designer, you'll help set the creative bar, support your peers, and help shape the team's work.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with digital marketers and designers to create on-brand campaigns and experiences that drive engagement and growth
  • Design across a full range of outputs, including static and animated digital ads, organic social media content, landing pages, and email campaigns
  • Apply creativity and critical thinking, informed by performance data provided by the marketing team, to continually improve creative outcomes
  • Design with the target audience in mind while maintaining consistency with established brand guidelines
  • Create video and motion design assets, primarily using Canva, to keep creative fresh across marketing channels
  • Collaborate closely with digital marketers, copywriters, designers, and Account Managers to deliver high-quality creative solutions
  • Help establish creative standards, mentor peers, and contribute to the continued growth of the Digital Marketing Design team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong storytelling ability with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to apply existing branding in fresh, engaging ways across multiple digital channels
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative rationale to internal teams, Account Managers, and occasionally clients
  • Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and BannerFlow
  • Video and motion design experience in Canva required; experience with Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with email design in CRM/ESP platforms such as HubSpot, Constant Contact, or Mailchimp
  • Understanding of paid social advertising specifications and best practices across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Experience designing Google display ads, paid social ads, and organic social media content
  • Experience designing both static and animated advertising formats
  • Ability to manage creative work across 6-8 active clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable receiving creative feedback and iterating quickly
  • Positive, collaborative attitude when working across internal teams and directly with clients
