Most organizations assign interns to real-world projects, allowing them to contribute meaningful code while learning best practices in software development. It's common to attend team meetings, participate in sprint planning, and receive feedback on both technical and soft skills, which helps interns grow rapidly and gain a strong understanding of the professional development process.
