About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support engineering activities at power generation facilities by assisting with electrical system design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and capital projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to power plant operations, electrical equipment, and industry engineering practices.

What You'll Do
  • Support electrical engineering projects and plant improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in field inspections and data collection activities.
  • Support troubleshooting of electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, and control systems.
  • Assist with engineering calculations, studies, and project documentation.
  • Review vendor drawings and technical submittals.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
  • Follow plant safety procedures and applicable electrical codes and standards.
What You'll Bring
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of power systems, electrical circuits, and electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar software.
  • Exposure to power distribution, motor controls, protection systems, or electrical design projects.
  • Previous internship, co-op, or relevant project experience.
