The position emphasizes safety, quality, schedule, and cost, while also involving hands-on problem solving to address technical issues and support the reliable operation of the power system.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed configuration files that align with established standards and best utilize existing engineering practices.
  • Provide complete configuration files and engineering field support to construction and commissioning personnel during project implementation.
  • Support operations and construction teams to ensure a reliable, safe, and secure power system across transmission and distribution substations.
  • Develop Substation Integration and Automation (SIA) schemes that support efficient, dependable, and secure power system operations.
  • Understand and analyze digital communication circuits used in substation automation and SCADA systems.
  • Apply knowledge of substation equipment, including its operational purpose and application, in the design and configuration of SIA systems.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others) to prepare documentation, reports, presentations, and project deliverables.
  • Develop effective project plans, establish clear goals, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously by setting priorities and using effective time management and organizational skills to achieve project team goals.
  • Participate in storm restoration efforts by supporting system operations and providing engineering assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work through technical problems and determine practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
